it's about vcd.

"war and beauty" is the vcd i have been watching these days. finally finished it thru' few late nights. now kind of regretting to finish it so fast. cos i mish the characters of the vcd. i mean the characters the actors and actress acted. especially Dr Suen and Little Master Yuk-ying. Little Master Yuk-ying wanted to be a cocubine so as the raise her mother's status as her mother was a lowly cocubine in their house. So, she and her mother was bullied since she was young. Yuk-ying managed to become a cocubine of the emperor by the help of Dr Suen and some other characters. Dr Suen knowing of Yuk-ying's desire to be a cocubine, helped her even though he himself fell in love with her. After helping her, seeing her entering the emperor's bedroom, Dr Suen went off drinking.

Later then, the Chief Maid, On-sin who is one of those who helped Yuk-ying in becoming a cocubine, betrayed Yuk-ying and attracted the emperor due to some acceptable reason. Therefore, On-sin became a cocubine as well. Yuk-ying was extremely angry and disappointed as she never would expect the only person she could trust, betrayed her. Yuk-ying began to not trust anyone, even Dr Suen. One day, Yuk-ying found out that Dr Suen likes her and her enemy(Yeeshun) likes Dr Suen. Yuk-ying put them into a trap by writing a letter to Dr Suen saying she wants to meet him and a letter to Yeeshun written as "from Dr Suen" with the same content. Luckily Yeeshun was gone, but Dr Suen appeared and was caught by the guards who was informed by a anonymous letter that an affair was in the palace.

Yuk-ying's plan failed. Dr Suen was locked up for investigation. Fearing that he would leak her out by saying Yuk-ying wrote a letter to him, Yuk-ying went to visit him and put poison in the gultinous rice she made. When he is about to eat it, his servant came in with other food and said that he cant eat gultinous rice as his wound has yet to recover. So he did not eat it. His servant took it and wanted to eat it. Dr Suen quickly stopped him by shouting " It's poisonous, dont eat. " Yuk-ying was shocked that Dr Suen knowing that it is poisonous, he still willing to eat it. Too touching sia. Yuk-ying was so pek chek with his action. She began to shout at him, scolding him.. " Why are u so stupid.. is it worthwhile for you to do so?.. ... ..."

She then gave him a slap and left. The following few days, time is running out, if no one admit she is meeting him, he will die. Yuk-ying then fell in love with Dr Suen and wanted to help him. Yeeshun, who likes Dr Suen, wanted to help him also. Both girls was very nervous about him. During the last day, Yuk-ying went to admit she is the one meeting Dr Suen, giving a reason that she wanted to get from him a love potion. Yeeshun came after her, realising that Yuk-ying have already admitted to save Dr Suen. Yuk-ying was then punished.

Another incident, Yuk-ying and Dr Suen then had a affair with help from some people. Yuk-ying got pregnant and Dr Suen knew the baby isnt of royal blood and if found out, both of them would be in trouble. And, it is obvious that the period doesnt tally. She then requested Dr Suen to write a changed medical record. He refused but she threaten him and he agreed unwillingly. He agreed as it is his baby, not because of her threatens. Yuk-ying then got back her power. Dr Suen thought that he has loved the woman he shouldnt have loved. He thought she was making use of him to 'make' a baby so as to get back her power.

Later on, her secret and their affair was exposed to the emperor. The emperor ordered the imperial guard to silence Dr Suen 'silently' when the emperor was away. When the emperor left, rebels entered the palace and the imperial guard did not kill Dr Suen. Dr Suen and a few other cocubines took the chance to run away. Dr Suen still loved Yuk-ying and wanted to get her to leave as well, worrying that she might be killed by the rebels. She refused to. He then explained to her that their affair has been exposed and the emperor wouldnt let them off. He then slapped her, thinking that she wanted to stay for power and luxury.

She then told him that since the emperor order to kill him silently meaning the emperor dont want people to know. So at least if she stayed in the palace and die, she is able to die in honour. At least she will be given a nice funeral and her mother will be of higher status in her family. He then realise she stayed on for her mother. He began to realise he was wrong about her. At this time, the 'rebels' locked them in the room and put a fire. They couldnt escape.. And before their death, Yuk-ying apologised to him that she 'hai' him get trapped as well. Dr Suen then wanted to ask her a question and wanted a honest answer. She asked, "You wanted to ask if i was true to you that night or not. right?" She then kiss him. And they died in the fire that their faces couldnt be recognised.

**So touching right? These two characters are my favourite in the vcd. Their love was so touching, so strong. There's still other interesting parts that i left out. Cant be writing the whole vcd story inside here mahs. I cried alot while watching this vcd. Especially it is about the love of these two characters. How i wish the story has yet to end. I mish this show. Sobs` **
